My favourite relative

My favorite relative is my son. Nothing compares to seeing happy every day, learning about the world. Now my challenge is to find methods to teach better things, strengthen the love, respect, trust, security and anything that allows him to adjust in the best way and see the world with good eye and time be able to help and provide solutions. Every day that my baby wakes up happy, I'm fine too.

I can have many missions or responsibilities, but nothing more important than fulfill the main role that gave me life, which began with the arrival of Gael.

Gael is very talkative, talk to all the people who go to the hairdresser for my mom. He does not say clear words, but it is perfectly understood by all. It is cheerful, very affectionate and learn immediately.
He loves to try flavors, no turning away food, people call him "chubby".
 He has only one year old and I understand everything you're telling me, he know of jokes and prohibitions.
I have so little experience with him so far and has already stolen my heart. We have traveled to Argentina, at Iquique, to the beach and many places together and I am very happy to have him by my side.

Gender roles and stereotypes

1- I completely agree and I rescued the concept that  our gender is only part of who we are. because all people are different, have different interests and motivations can not be generalized to a standard of behavior.

2-Women are not as strong as men(with this refers to the muscular force that has the man due to greater muscle development) Women are responsible for raising children ( is associated with the protective role of women that begins in the gestation period) , men are lazy and / or messy (believed that man unlike women should not worry about your image and grooming, nor do house cleaning) and  men do more activities that require mental prowess ( mistakenly thought that men are rational and women emotional)

3- Female Gender Stereotypes 

 a. women are nurses, not doctors
Nothing more wrong than this, since now many women working as doctors successfully there.  For example my aunt is an excellent doctor.

b. women love to sing and dance
This is a stereotype that has been well established in collective thinking.
I disagree as I sing or dance are expressions of indistinct art genre. singing is not as estereotype as dance. Dance unfortunately remains assigned to the female gender. But there are many more dancers come forward without necessarily being "effeminate" commonly called.

c. Woman do not play video games
There is no argument to support this idea. any person can play video games. if you do not believe me  ask  camila arancibia who just loves this and plays very well.

Male gender stereotypes

a. As husbands, men tell their wives what to do
I disagree, because the key to a good relationship is based on mutual respect for ideas and reach agreements.

b. Men are lazy and/or messy
Be loose or dirty also depends on the person and not the gender.

c. Men do not cook, sew, or do crafts
Nothing wrong, because these are acts of subsistence. there are more men who are dedicated to gastronomy, sewing and especially the crafts.

My future career

After finishing my university studies, I would like to work in veterinary hospitals or queries and then, slowly, establish a veterinary hospital in association with veterinarian friends. Implement a system supported by the government of Chile to ensure greater access and there are funds to help vulnerable animals such as stray dogs.

I would devote to clinical care, emergency and education of responsible ownership, respect and care for the animal diversity, giving talks in schools and conducting educational activities. I really would like to contribute in this area with the help of other professionals and people in general who want to collaborate with this constructive cause. addition to the active part it means to work in small animal clinic, I would like to participate enormously in the area of research at the University of Chile, as it is a need to devise and look for the best solution to problems.

In the posterior future I would like to devote  to the conservation of wildlife, since it is an urgent problem. I say posterior future, because I need to have more practice, studies and tools to be able to help more animal diversity. 

I would like to continue studying areas related to animal behavior, human psychology, cognition, etc, because I'm very interested to know what leads an individual to choose a decision.

A picture that I like

In this picture are my brothers, my teddy bear and me. this room is my mom's hairdresser of those years.

I really like this picture and it is very important to me because it was my first birthday with my family and gave me the bear that was my favorite toy for years. With my friends we played a lot with him, are very fond memories.This photograph was taken by my mother on July 30, 1990.

My first birthday was celebrated and came to my home most of my paternal family, my sponsors and friends of the family. I do not remember much, but they prepared a very nice to my party.

when I see this picture I feel a lot of affection and emotion to see my brethren and see their happy faces next to me. I also feel nostalgia for a time when everything seemed wonderful to me.

Why do you want to become a veterinarian?

Since I was very young, I felt concern for the animals when sick. mainly cats, because I had cats. I did not knew  existed veterinarian. Also was expensive pay.  So I ran the neighboring houses getting medicinal herbs.
 I loved singing with my best friend. Both wanted to be singers.We celebrated the birthday of my dog and cats and also the baptizing them.we always played a lot with them .

Age 17  I was interested in learning Arabic dance and while I was interested medical attention (human)
I wanted to contribute to a better social health, a everybody health.But I could not get the score needed to 
enter the university career.So I decided to learn Arabic dance and I finally decided to enter a study veterinary medicine because I felt a commitment to help animals.This decision was strongly influenced by the social situation in which they find stray dogs and the sad fact that live animals for meat production.

 The main engine of my choice lies in my desire for a freer world, aware, emotional, common good and not selfish as we live in today.  The common people have always said that these things can not be changed, that money will always rule. however all good distrust has arisen for the masses and see beyond. Ask the why and how I can help and change influence.

What is my favourite piece of technology?

I haven´t an important attachment with pieces of technology, but the notebook I help me to comunicate with my relatives who lives far. Notebook or traditional computer : for me it is the same.
what I like computer is that I can watch movies, documentaries, to listen to music and I can communicate with some people. All in one device. 

Very much important is internet too.  celulars can have internet and is very comfortable, having access anywhere but I prefer even so computer.

If computers did not exist, my life would be equal or better. Maybe I would replace by the radio, televition, dvd, I would play an musical instrument, perhaps I would be composer to music , I would send letters, as was done formerly, etc. Conclusion my life would be fantastic.

opinions

1.social networds (Facebook, Twitter...)

In my opinion, the social networds are dangerous, generally. Because people write many personal information and personal pictures, which can be seen by people with sick minds and powerfull people look and exerts control over us. The positive of social networds is that you can easily maintain contact with loved ones who are far.  Also, you can arrange information remotely.

2.killing stray dogs

I think that  before exterminate them , state should worry about sterelization, education, responsible ownership,hostels and to disinfect... If  necessary death should be euthanasia. Unfortunallety, there are not low for animals in this country and a few contries have lows that help animal´s life. In my view, the most important of all is that the government initiate an effective educational plan.

3.Legalizing marijuana

 It has been found that natural marijuana is not dangerous for health, on the contrary,
often it quiet pain of diseases such as cancer. Also recently been proven that marijuana also attacks cancer cells. Moreover there are drugs that are very harmful as  tabacco, alcohol, which are legals. Usually, is less addictive than the above mentioned. For this reasons I think that marijuana should be legalized.

4.Recycling

what I mean is recycling is urgent today  because the environment is so polluted waste produced from excessive consumerism. Is sad to know that the garbage thrown into the ocean kill many animals that live there. Besides, with garbage is possible to construct new objects, is very good use the imagination for to creat magnific artworks. Also, it serve for to build houses and and  many more utilities.

5.Clonning

I believe that  clonning is something that has served for discovery and scientific development, especially at the genetic level. but it does not has an important application in the animal world or human beings, either ethical, economic, etc..Furthermore, I believe that each person is unique and irreplaceable. Moreover, the life that would have serious clones subordinated to the good of another person.

Bailando con tu sombra by Vìctor Heredia.

Víctor Heredia is one of the best Latin American Songwriting of the world. opposition to the dictatorship created songs full of poetry. One is "Bailando con tu sombra"( Alelí), I love its melody and beautiful lyrics, inspired by a true story.
 Víctor goes to prison and decides to visit and give a recital at the most dangerous prisoners and in one of those cells through which it passes, a guard tells him that the man who is there went crazy and I danced all night and just cried. 
Victor asks, and why is he  in prison? ... For killing his wife ... 
Then asked to please let him speak to the prisoner about ... When she asks for crying and who danced ... and the prisoner replied: "I'm here is that within me who killed to dream, to the one who loved me and she always told me that no one can love me like her to me ... 
It was a rainy afternoon when I killed her, but she comes every night to my cell, it's like a shadow with which I dance till dawn, called Alelí, poor me for not having her.

Biography

I´m Cecilia Marisel Cerda Rìos. I was born on July 30, 1989. At age 7 I started elementary school at Colegio Josè Miguel Carrera Nº 14.
then I studied high school at Liceo Marìa Inmaculada in the scientific area biologist.
From small I felt a great love for animals, but it took a few years before deciding to study veterinary medicine. Those years I started Bellydance, to teach arabic dance and to dance events.
Today during second year of Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad de Chile and I love learning towards a better future animal.
I live with my parents and my little baby who has 1 year old. he is called Gael and my boyfriend is called Sebastiàn. my sister and my brothers, my mother too, have argentina nationality. they have their own family.
Also I like to dance bellydance biking, listening Latin American folklore, hard rock, etc.. I watch movies of realistic type and I  walk with my boyfriend and my baby.
